Growl, Meow & Wine Benefiting Dogs, Cats, Puppies and Kittens of the East Bay
East Bay SPCA holds their annual benefit to raise money to help the homeless dogs and cats of the Oakland SPCA and the Tri-Valley SPCA in Dublin.
Oakland, CA September 2, 2004 -- The East Bay SPCA is holding its 8th Annual Growl, Meow & Wine Gala on Sunday, September 12th, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, on the grounds of the Oakland SPCA. The proceeds from the expected 300 guests benefit the cats and dogs of Alameda County.
The Gala offers wine-tasting featuring tables from six nearby wineries, scrumptious food, and the opportunity to support the SPCA with auctions for over $15,000 in donated items. Guests will also be treated to live jazz provided by The Jazz Trio 3, and the Celtic music of Margaret and Kristof.
Weve been so fortunate to have such loyal supporters contributing to solve the problem of pet overpopulation in our community, says East Bay SPCA President, Gary Templin. Growl, Meow & Wine is our way of saying thank you to our donors, as well as open our shelter to potential adopters looking for a new loyal canine or feline companion. Adoption counselors will be available.
Tickets are $25 in advance ($35 after Sept 5th) and include food, drinks, entertainment, auction admission, and more, at 8323 Baldwin St., Oakland. For tickets and information, please contact the East Bay SPCA at (510) 569-2591, or visit www.eastbayspca.org/growl
